Craft Culinary Concepts is proud to introduce our new Director of Operations for the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center in Colorado Springs, Laura Cookson!
Laura has been in the food industry for the past 18 years, in almost every capacity imaginable. Laura graduated from University of Colorado Boulder with a double major in English and Psychology. From there, she went on to teach abroad in Spain for a year until returning home to Denver. After another year of teaching, Laura returned to school and got a culinary degree at Johnson and Wales. Immediately after graduating, Laura was hired as the executive chef and recipe developer for Dream Dinners, a nationwide meal kit company. In this role, Laura ran the ops for many of the local stores, innovated recipes, and hosted virtual cooking class amongst other tasks.
In her free time, Laura loves doing anything outdoors, especially in the Colorado mountains she calls home. Laura lives her husband, Ricky, and their two cats Leonard and Gertrude. Local to Colorado Springs, Laura is beyond excited to be working with the Garden of the Gods community, in the park that she has often enjoyed for many years.
