Kristen Tremmel is Craft’s Director of Operations at Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum (ASDM) in Tucson. Kristen’s experience in the food and beverage industry has played a huge part in shaping the guest experience at ASDM. Check out the interview below to learn a bit about Kristen:

Background & Experience

I’m from Minneapolis Minnesota. I’ve been in the Hospitality/Restaurant/Hotel business for my entire professional career. My wonderful husband’s name is Troy, I have a daughter 25, Jordann and I have a granddaughter Olivya who just turned 5. I also have 2 dogs, Doc Holiday and Wyatt Earp.

What do you enjoy most about working for Craft? What sets Craft apart from other companies?

I love the fact that it is a growing company! It gives me the opportunity to learn something new everyday expand my knowledge in my career and really work as a team to achieve perfection! (perfection maybe someday)

What is something about you that most people may not know?

My father is a musician, so I spent a lot of my younger years growing up on a tour bus.

Who is a woman that inspires you, and why?

I’m always inspired by Laura Ingraham. She is not afraid to stand up for who she is, she respects her colleges and does her homework before she opens her mouth. She teaches women to work hard, take in as much knowledge as you can and stand up for yourself.

“It’s a man’s job to respect women, but it’s a women’s job to give a man something to respect”

-Laura Ingraham

Do you have any advice for young women starting out in their careers?

Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want, take criticism seriously, but not personally. If there is truth in the criticism, try to learn from it.
