USSSA Names Cactus Yards Outstanding Park of the Year for 2019

The Arizona baseball chapter of the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) recently completed voting for their 2019 annual awards. The awards are voted on by the coaches and players who competed during the 2019 USSSA Youth Baseball season on many sports fields throughout Arizona.

We are excited to learn and share that Gilbert’s Cactus Yards was the runaway winner of the “Outstanding Park of the Year” Award for 2019! Cactus Yards received the highest ever score in the 14-year history of this award with an average score of 9.9. Ten categories are averaged on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best score. We are extremely proud of the efforts of the entire Gilbert team on this honor. The many team members from CIP, Parks & Recreation, Town Manager’s Office, Digital Government along with the project managers did an excellent job in renovating this facility and setting it up for success. The team members at Cactus Yards, together with Craft Culinary Concepts, take tremendous pride in providing exemplary customer service, maintenance and tournament management services to all the entities using Cactus Yards. The extra efforts, communications, and team work has been noticed by the baseball and softball organizations!
